"The objective of Gianluca Pizzichi captures the image in his essence and to do it he chases the object to be photographed in the most optimum conditions of light, aspect, space and time. The result is a picture which seems dreamt, but it is instead more real than ever, the same image that appears a thousand times in front of our absent-minded eye. The "ambushes" of the photographer in the hours of the dawn and the sunset in front of a view, the chromatic contrast of the façades of Siena, the grey of the sea waves, the unnatural white of the Icelandic landscape are explained thus. Every image constitutes for the author and, in consequence for the spectator, a new discovery, a conquest, which can justify the Gianluca’s "pursuits" of flowers, objects, landscapes often far but needed to be taken to the light by his lens."
Mario Ciofi, poet and publicist of La Nazione di Siena
